The first grand homes of Santa Barbara were built in the Upper East neighborhood from the 1890’s to the 1930’s. The area is in a grid format of flat and gently sloping tree-lined quiet streets, just below the Santa Barbara Mission and a mile walk on average to downtown Santa Barbara.
